Welcome bags, treats for kids, easy shopping! Catch the trolley at regular bus stops.




Kids Activities at DreamBank!
10am - 4pm (Free)
DreamBank, 1 N. Pinckney
Hop the Downtown Holiday Trolley and head to DreamBank with the family for free hot cocoa, a holiday crafting workshop and photos with Santa! Crafting and cocoa are available all day and photos with Santa will be on a first-come, first-served basis. (Santa photos available Friday and Saturday only.)




Dr. Suess' How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical features the hit songs "You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch" and "Welcome Christmas" (written by Albert Hague and Dr. Seuss) from the original animated series. Max the Dog narrates as the mean and scheming Grinch, whose heart is "two sizes too small," decides to steal Christmas away from the holiday-loving Whos.

Ever Gleaming
At the Wisconsin Historical Museum. Relive holiday memories, pose for pictures in a replica 1960's living room, and see over two dozen Evergleams in this display of shiny aluminum trees. (Admission by donation.)

Rockin' blues with The Cash Box Kings. Learn about the blues, dance, sing and even get up on stage to play harmonica. A be-bopping party that will have the entire family on their feet!

Get ready for bluegrass fun for the whole family! Dave Fox and Will Branch strive to create a communal atmosphere of fun and high spirits wherever they play. A Fox and Branch show is as much a celebration of being together as it is a musical performance.

Come Back for Holiday Trolley, Carolers and More, Saturdays in December
The free Holiday Trolley continues Saturdays, December 2, 9, and 16, and 23, running from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm along with carolers strolling State Street and the Square Saturdays from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. For downtown maps, directions, event info, and shopping and dining suggestions, the Downtown Visitor Center (452 State St.) is open daily, or stop by the Downtown Information Table at Overture Center (201 State St.) Saturdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

*Trolley Information for those with disabilities: For patrons with disabilities for whom the trolley may not be accessible, the BID Ambassadors staffing the trolley will provide a free Metro Transit day pass plus a welcome bag. Per Metro Transit: "All fixed-routes are accessible to people with disabilities. Service animals are allowed on Metro buses to assist people with disabilities. ADA-eligible riders may travel on fixed-route buses with a personal care attendant at no additional charge (the rider pays and the attendant rides for free). An ADA eligibility card must be presented when boarding." The free trolley is a service of Madison's Central Business Improvement District (BID).
